Curvy Princess Lalita

^^ i'm really happy with this piccie!! It looks better in person than the picture but i still really like it.

This is the main character in a story i was, well am, writing. I havn't written anything new to it.

Here is a preview of it, for anyone who wants to read some of what i have. I have the rest of the first chapter and chapters 2 and 3.

Introduction

My story begins on the eve of Samhain, in a far away world. I know many of you have read fairy tales of far away kingdoms with princesses who end up with the perfect prince, but that is just a dream. In my world, you only get the guy if you are beautiful. You only get the job if you are beautiful. You only live if you are beautiful. And what is the definition of beauty? …Gorgeous, Thin. That 4 letter word is what the people's minds define beauty as in my society. You never hear of the fat duckling getting the dream guy, just the just the beautiful girl getting awoken by a magical kiss from a handsome prince. What about the rest of us?

Chapter 1

"Lalita! Get yourself down here pronto!" yelled Naina. "You are going to be late for the ceremony!"
"Crap!" I yelled, jumping out of bed. "I can't believe I forgot!" I rushed over to my dresser and grabbed my black robe, as I was not allowed to be viewed by anyone, except my priestess and caretaker Naina. "What time is it?" I yelled to her from my room.
She looked at the digital watch in the kitched. "It's nearly 9." She started walking up the stairs to my room.
"Great, I'm going to be late again and everyone will laugh at me…again."
"Don't sweat it; you'll be fine, just going to have to rush.
I put on the black robe quickly and then went to the bathroom and fixed up my hair. I have shorter hair, as is customary for people like me to have. I am also required to have 4 ear piercings, rather than the normal two. But that's just because of the fact that my parents are the royals, and the earrings show that I am of their descent. I didn't bother much with the hair, since no one would see it anyway. I grabbed my face scarf and wrapped it around my face.
"Okay, I am ready." I told Naina. She grabbed my arm and pulled me along to the royal chambers, so I would be in attendance at the family session. She always has to make sure I am well protected. Since I am the king's daughter, even if I am the youngest and the 13th child, putting me at the end of the stick, I must be protected from danger.
We arrived late, and, as usual, everyone was staring at me. Sometimes I am happy that I am forced to wear the horrible scarf and robe, it hides what everyone seems to disgust, which apparently is me. The royal chamber was a massive hall, with 24 chairs lined on the west side of the room, and 2 on the east. I am one of the two on the east side. The western hall is for those who are of age and married, Aolani, my other sister, and I are the only 2 not yet betrothed. Aolani is coming of age soon though, for it is near approaching her 17th birthday. I have a feeling that's what this meeting is about.
I snuck to my seat quietly, as not to draw any more attention to myself.
"Where have you been?" Aolani whispered.
"Sorry, I over slept. What's this meeting all about?" I smirked. "Wait, I think I already know."
Aolani looked nervous. "It's about picking my own prince." She smiled sheepishly.
I gave her a warm smile, even if I was a little jealous as to the fact that she was getting her own prince. "Don't worry; they will have good choices for you."
"I know…"
She was cut off when the meeting was put to order. A large LCD TV screen flashed and showed the family portrait-minus me. I always feel ashamed and like I'm not part of the family when I see it. My parents talked for a little bit to the audience of people, while the screen summed up what they were saying for those who could not hear. They then called foreword their top 5 choices for a suitable husband, and from those 5 princes Aolani was given her choice of 1. She ended up choosing a blonde haired boy named Aristo, who was very handsome. It made me feel so very covetous of her.
The then called forth another order for the meeting; this seemed unusual as it is customary to have only 1 issue per meeting.
"The second meeting is called to the issue of the 13th daughter of Eros and Varsha and the matter of her banishment."
I froze right on the spot. I don't know if the look of shock on my face was that apparent, but I felt it inside. I thought this would be coming, I didn't think it would be this soon. I thought they were going to give me more time.

This is still rough, no where near being polished and finished. There are a bunch of mistakes, i know... And in this story i'm not trying to say anything about thin people or anything. I just get annoyed how much the same fairytales are. They are all about beautiful girls, even though they can be dressed like crap, they beautiful anyway, and how all fairytales are like that. They just aren't real (well, hence fairy tales ol) but i dunno, i just wanted to make a fairy tale featuring more normal people, who aren't supermodel gorgeous. It's supposed to be in a futuristic high technology kinda place, that controls a lot. How it would be if some things from now where taken to extremes and stuff, i dunno lol.. i'm not really sure what all i want to do with it...

yeaah.. I need to work on the story some more.. If you guys want me to post the rest of it i can.. if you want lol. Please don't take offense at it all, if you do.. I'm not trying to bring anyone 'down'. I just want to make a fairy tale showing the faults of some beliefs and to have a more normal girl in them.
